This 40-minute video provides a history of the Duluth Coordinated Community Response (CCR) to domestic violence. By coordinating multiple intervening agencies around the central goal of victim safety and offender accountability, Duluth, Minnesota became known worldwide for its unique efforts to create lasting community change. The video identifies how and why the CCR was developed, early problems, the changes that have taken place over twenty years, as well as the current issues facing CCRs. Also highlighted are experiences of the staff of the Domestic Abuse Intervention Project and its interagency partners.
Members of CCR coordinating councils, police and probation officers, prosecutors, advocates and anyone seeking to create community change will find this video helpful in explaining how community partners working together can create lasting impact on important issues.
